Top Gear to show Hammond crash

Jeremy Clarkson claims that the first episode of the new series of Top Gear, which screens on January 28th will show footage of Richard Hammond’s 300 MPH crash in a jet-powered dragster which occurred during filming for Top Gear last summer.
The BBC won’t officially say one way or the other.
Speaking of the Hamster, he is apparently fully recovered now, as he was spotted riding a powerful Honda Fireblade last week. Nice one.

Top Gear is back on BBC2 on January 28th, at 8 pm.

Celebrity Big Brother

I was going to write a lengthy rant about what a load of bollix Big Brother is, and what a bunch of saps it viewers are, but I can’t be bothered expending the energy on such a big, steaming pile of shit.

In short - Celebrity Big Brother:

FUCK OFF.

Nutter crashes car into RTE.

Rumour has it that this was the same guy that breached security at the Late Late Show last week and gave Pat Kenny a piece of his mind. Apparently he crashed his Nissan Micra through the security gates at RTE and then rammed it into the reception area at the main building.
Ok, it was funny and entertaining when he interrupted the Late Late, but now its time to lock the crazy bastard up.

Update: its been confirmed, it was the same guy, Paul Stokes!
It was on the above linked RTE news article, but it appears to be gone again.

Nutter interrupts Late Late Show

I posted this over at TCAL too, before anyone accuses me of ripping them off!
This drunk guy somehow got onto the stage right at the start of tonight’s Late Late Show on RTE1, and told Pat Kenny exactly what he thinks of him and Gay Byrne. It was on the intertubes in minutes :) Live TV folks!
Thanks to boards.ie poster Parasite for the clip. I stuck it onto YouTube:

BBC to show Hamster crash

This seems to be a bit of an about-turn from the Beeb who were previously rumbling about canning Top Gear. According to RTE News, they now plan to show - documentary style - Richard Hammond’s 300 mph Vampire jet car crash.

Bosses have decided to show a special programme about his accident, if Richard agrees.

Hammond, nicknamed Hamster, is set to fully recover from “significant” brain injuries sustained when the jet-powered car flipped and crashed during a stunt for ‘Top Gear’.

The BBC will now wait until the 36-year-old is fully recovered before confirming the project.

A source told The Daily Mirror: “The aim is not to be gruesome but to show all the preparations. Then we’ll look at what went wrong and perhaps learn lessons.”

Go Hamster go!
