Faugheen 2008

I went to the practice session for tomorrow’s Faugheen 50 road races this afternoon. They were very fortunate with the good weather - I got sunburned, which is quite rare in this part of the world! Last year it rained pretty much non-stop.
Anyways, I brought my camera with me and took several hundred photos. As usual, most of them were horrendous, out of focus messes. I picked 20 of the better ones and stuck them up on flickr.

Here’s a sample:

Airsoft for the win!

I got the following airsoft goodies during the week, one in the post and one in person, used and cheap!

Cyma AK-74 AEG. Used. Cheap :)

KJ Works Sig P226 gas blowback pistol, new, not quite as cheap but a load of fun!

I’ve been tapping away at some coke cans and stuff with them for the moment. Some time soon I think I’ll drag myself along to an actual airsoft skirmish. Looks like great fun!

2007 Faugheen 50

The Faugheen 50 road races are on this weekend in Faugheen, Co. Tipperary - near Carrick-on-Suir. I’ll be going along with my camera unless the weather is really rubbish. I’ve never been before so I may end up with a crappy position to take photos from, but it should be good craic either way. Practice starts on Saturday at 13.00. Races on Sunday from 11.00.

Ireland 43, England 13

Well, that was nice :) Croke Park looked wonderful too. Given Scotland’s performance against Italy today, it looks like Ireland has the Triple Crown in the bag again this year! This is Ireland’s biggest ever winning margin against England in rugby, shattering the old record of 22 points that’s stood since 1947.
Lets hope France somehow fucks up and lets us in with a chance of winning the 6 Nations proper!
