Playstation 3

My Nintendo Wii has been gathering dust in a corner for months now, so I finally traded it in against a new Playstation 3. It plus a few quite old games got me an impressive 263 euros credit against the PS3.
Then I got home with the PS3 and set it up, went to sign up for the Playstation Network and was told that I need to download a system update… which took 2 hours! Not impressed. On the 360 updates usually only took a few minutes max.
Whenever the hell it finishes I will be giving LittleBigPlanet a whirl.
Windows 7: Rather good.

I got the 64-bit Windows 7 beta yesterday and installed it on my main machine which I was planning to rebuild anyway, and I am quite pleased with it. It feels far more like a finished product than any of the Windows Vista beta releases did.
Microsoft’s site took a pounding yesterday and they pulled the beta release until they can organise some more bandwidth to keep things rolling.
I have all my usual stuff (Steam games, iTunes, etc) running very well indeed on it. The beta release is good until August 1st, when it expires.
