SF’s Martin Ferris TD arrested for drink driving

I’m sure I won’t be the first to say “LOL!“.
The RTE report says he was arrested “under suspicion” of drink driving, and a sample has been sent for analysis which will determine whether or not he will be prosecuted.
Ferris’s wikipedia entry has already been updated to include this information, along with stuff about his IRA past (he spent 10 years in prison for his involvement in importing weapons and explosives for the IRA in the 1980s).
Update 10 May 2007: RTE News says lab results show that Ferris was not in fact over the limit.

what difference does it make if you voted for him in the past a drink drive offence wont harm him

He doesn’t need any help blackening his name with his IRA past. FF could do with a kick in the teeth too.
