More flickr stuff

Wordpress ate my last attempt to post this. Annoying. Anyways, I’ve posted some more stuff up on my flickr - first attempts at night photos with the obligatory car light blur effect. How original! There’s also some photos from the Bronx Zoo.

    I love that car light effect. What settings did you have on the D50 for this?

    You can see all the EXIF data on Flickr, in this case:
    Exposure: 20 sec (20)
    Aperture: f/10
    Focal Length: 30 mm
    ISO 200
    Auto white balance/FINE JPEG on camera

    I think I had the camera in P mode and just set the shutter speed to 20 seconds. The smaller you make the aperture the more visible the “star” effect should be on lights and stuff at night. It seems to work better with my 70-300mm lens but that was far too close to get a shot of the castle.

    Tripod, of course!
