Kilkenny Ring Road farce
Looks like the road works on the much-needed extension to the Kilkenny ring road have ceased again, for the second time in less than a year. The new part of the ring road comes very close to my house, and I can visually see that there’s bugger all going on there for the last few days.
After 13 months, only an eighth of the road has been completed. At the present rate of progress it will be 2014 before it is finished.
Under the terms of the contract the work is to be completed by next May.
What an utter clusterfuck. Regan Civil Engineering = wankers.

How right you are. A bit amusing though to hear Fianna Fáil heroes whinging on about an inefficient tender system they kept in place for so long. Kilkenny Ring Road was a quarter finished in 1984. Despite FF being in Government for all but six of the 22 years since then, we still hae no end in sight. Typical of the Soldiers of Destiny i.e. McGuinness and co to blame everybody but themselves.
