The Cat Laughs is almost upon us

The 2006 Smithwick’s Cat Laughs festival kicks off in a mere 38 hours, and I have just secured a last minute ticket to see Phil Kay on Sunday in Kyteler’s. Woohoo! The weather’s shaping up to be pretty good this weekend too — Kilkenny publicans are going to make a fortune.

Might see if I can grab tickets to some of the other shows over the weekend too, last year was a blast. That said, last year I was clever enough to book the tickets in advance, rather than have this ticketless muppet situation I’m in now…

I thought you weren’t impressed with the selection on offer!

Indeed, last year’s lineup was much better but there’s still a lot of talent around this year too.

I was suprised, the Kilkenny Cats Luaghs was previewed/advertised in the Guardian “The Guide” Under the Comedy section.
