You’re Not a Star

The Irish Independent (bugmenot required) reports today that RTE’s “You’re a Star” will no longer be used to select Ireland’s Eurovision entrants, as all three entrants selected by the show failed miserably.
Sadly, they’re not canning the show altogether, as they make lots of money out of the telephone/text voting and it continues to get good ratings.

funnily, the sunday times reported that a full month ago, about a week or two before the o’reilly interview about napstering people who rob newspaper’s content. irony, eh?

hah, indeed. That said, the Indo reported it in the context of RTE mentioning it at their autumn schedule launch shindig yesterday.
