Update: here’s some more photos

I want one of these

Nokia 770 Internet Tablet, running Linux, with an 800×480 display and built in 802.11g and bluetooth.
Probably quite pointless but I love a good gadget.

Nokia 770 Internet Tablet

Image robbed from mobilegazette.com - hey, at least I’m not stealing their bandwidth too.

Hay Fever

Hay fever is a cunt. Whoever’s respsonsible for it (you know you’re out there) is a bigger cunt.
I am currently hopped up on Zirtek and Beconase because of it, and I still feel like shite. WOO YEAH!
Getting stuck behind a tractor hauling a load of fresh cut grass this morning probably didn’t help any either.

Leaving Cert

So the Leaving Cert exams begin today for about 60,000 unfortunate bastards. I did it myself 4 years ago, can’t say it was fun.
On the upside, despite all the hype, a crap Leaving Cert is not the end of the world, there’s plenty more to life afterwards.

Twenty Major on insects

Genius. Insects are cunts.

San Andreas street date broken

The PC and Xbox versions of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas are due to go on sale in the US on June 7th, and here in Europe on June 10th (bastards… why make us wait?), but some American retailers are reported to have broken the street date on it yesterday.
I am jealous.
I have it on the Playstation 2 already but the PS2 is just too slow for it - horribly low frame rates and close scenery pop up, so I didn’t play too much of it, as I decided to hold off and play it as it should be played on my PC in nice high-resolution form.

Dylan Moran

Dylan Moran was absolutely excellent last night at the Watergate, despite the odd heckling arsehole. If you get a chance to see his live show in the near future, take it - it will be worth it.
Also, the amount of violence going down afterwards in Nero’s last night was unbelievable.

Bill Bailey

I just saw Bill Bailey at Langtons here in Kilkenny as part of the cat laughs festival, and he was absolutely fucking excellent as usual. I’d provide linkage and stuff, but i’m posting this from my phone and its a bit cumbersome in that respect. Anyways, onward to Dylan Moran!

Turn XP home into XP Pro (almost)

According to The Register, changing a mere two bytes of one of the setup files, you can install XP home with many of Pro’s features, such as NTFS permissions, remote desktop server, etc.
Naturally this will require burning a new setup CD, and it also breaks service pack 2 unless you create a slipstreamed SP2 CD. Full story from the Register link above. Read more »
